ABOUT CINEMANIA!

CINEMANIA! began as a monthly print gazette celebrating film and video happenings throughout Southeast Michigan. Printed on 11×17 paper, each issue featured a full-color poster on one side and a guide to upcoming screenings on the other — along with advertisements, columns, and other movie-related discoveries.

The goal was simple: to create a place where people could find out what was happening on local screens, from repertory classics and midnight movies to experimental works, revivals, and forgotten favorites. The website continues that mission, collecting film screenings from theaters, film societies, archives, and independent presenters across the region.

CINEMANIA! is a handmade guide for people who still get excited about seeing something unexpected on a big screen.
